Why words stick
Review a word just before you would forget it
Every answer tells Rayaad how well you know that word. Get it right and the wait grows: tomorrow, then a few days, then weeks. After eight correct answers a word is 11 months away — a few minutes of reviewing, spread across most of a year.
Get one wrong and it returns in the same session, without losing what you had built up. It is called spaced repetition, and Rayaad runs it with FSRS, a modern scheduling algorithm, already tuned for you.

Every card can speak both sides, each in its own language. When your hands are busy, Listen mode plays your due words as an audio session: the word, a pause to recall it, then the meaning.

What is Rayaad?
A vocabulary app. You add the words you want to learn, review them by swiping a card right if you knew it and left if you did not, and Rayaad works out when each word should come back — just before you would forget it. It runs in your browser today, with phone apps on the way.
Which languages can I learn?
Any of them, in any combination. You choose the language you are learning and the one you already speak, and that is your pair. There is no list of supported languages. Ready-made decks exist for some pairs; everything else works with your own words.
How is it different from other flashcard apps?
The timing. Most flashcard apps show you cards when you open them; Rayaad schedules every word on its own, from your answers, with a modern algorithm called FSRS. You answer with one swipe instead of grading yourself on a scale, every word can be heard, and there is nothing to set up.
Is it free?
Yes. Every account starts with 7 days of Pro, then moves to the Free plan, which keeps unlimited reviews, every device, offline review and audio, with room for 500 cards. No card is needed and there are no ads.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Rayaad runs in any modern browser, on a computer or a phone, and you can add it to your home screen. Apps for iPhone and Android are in testing and coming soon.
